(Travel to Europe) Day 5 - Lausanne, Switzerland

EPFL

In Lausanne, I decided to take a leisurely walking trip. I took a walk along the lakeside in front of the hostel. There was a black swan that seemed to be a little smaller than a white swan.

I also visited the EPFL campus, which I was curious about. The Rolex Learning Center, the library of EPFL, is open to everyone, so I stayed for a while and wrote in my trip diary.

The Olympic Museum

The Olympic Museum. I took a look around here while traveling downtown of Lausanne.

Stairs on the way up to the museum. The Olympic venues for each year are engraved. The 1988 Seoul is engraved in this step.

Starting point for touring the Olympic Museum (left). It looks like the starting point of the track. In the middle of the tour, there was a place where mascots for each event were collected.

There is also a place where medals are collected. Initially, there was no change in the shape of the medal, but since then, it has become larger and each host country's unique design has been applied.

Fire of 1929 Lausanne Olympics. It was moved here in 1993 (described in panel).
